1901 - 1910

Star of the Sea Church is one of the most beautiful sights of our village. It is just over one hundred years old. The old building behind Raymond Benskin's garage was used to say Mass before the present church was built. Star of the Sea Church was built on 11th August 1901. The priests here were John Browne (1894 - 1903) and T. Roche (1903 - 1909). Susan Bailey was the first Sacristan in Ballycotton.
