In May 2008 we had a Skipathon. All the children were in it and we raised a lot of money for the Irish Heart Foundation. Una and Laura were in the final and Laura won the Skipathon for the school.

On Sunday 25th May 2008 there was a procession in Ballycotton. We started at the Church, went down to the pier to do a blessing on the boats. We were putting flowers on the parking line when a gush of water came up on all of us. We walked all the way to the church. But the floor was wet up by the seats. The people from our class were Suzanne, Katie, Julie, Niamh, Laura, Una, Robyn, Cillian, Eanna and Ryan. We had fun.

Our Communion Day

By Niamh Cowhig aged 8

On our Communion Day we went to the church. Everyone was there to greet us. Jake O'Donoghue read the First Reading. Lisa Lehane read the Psalm. After the Psalm 4th, 5th and 6th class had a reading about Market Day where there were lots of people in the town square. There was an old man in the middle of the square. He asked the people who is the greatest in God's kingdom? They say this little boy is the greatest in God's kingdom. He is God's son. His name is Jesus. He had a mother called Mary. Then we had the prayers of the Faithful read by Una O'Shea, Ryan Meanwell, Niamh Cowhig and Katie Parker. Then another reading by Laura O'Keeffe and Cillian O'Brien. While they were doing their reading the gifts were brought up. After the readings we received our First Holy Communion and the priest ended the Mass and we had a lovely time afterwards.

When I was on holiday we were feeding a cat and a few days later we were sitting outside and my Dad said "Look, there is a little black kitten." My Mum went inside to get some cheese and said "Look, there is a little white one too and a tiny little black one too." We ran and got some milk. We fed them and we never saw them again.
